Marlo Egleston DVM

Marlo Egleston here! My life has revolved around animals for as long as I can remember. I grew up on my family’s dairy farm in Elkland, PA where we also raised registered Polled Herefords and had a collection of horses. We showed our homebred cattle across the country before basketball took over and commanded our competitive time. I broadened my horizons with four years in Washington, DC attending The George Washington University on full athletic scholarship. After my time there, I was anxious to return home and spent three years working full time on my family’s farm while also coaching basketball performance work for Nike. When I realized I needed “a real career” I decided to follow through on my dream of attending veterinary school. I spent my veterinary school years at Cornell University focusing on equine and food animal medicine. Following graduation I moved to Lewisburg to work for West Branch Mobile Vet Clinic. Opening my own practice has always been my ultimate goal, and I was fortunate to make that dream a reality January 1, 2019.

Lacey Floyd DVM

Hi! My name is Lacey Floyd. I grew up on a farm in Benton, PA which is about 20 minutes north of Bloomsburg. My journey towards a career in veterinary medicine started early when my aunt gifted me with horseback riding lessons at the age of 5 for Christmas. I don’t think I ever looked back. I started working for Lora Knelly Quarter Horses when I was 16, mucking stalls, feeding, and turning out horses. Somewhere in the middle of all my equine activities, my brother and I developed an interest in beef cattle and started a cow/calf herd composed of commercial cows as well as some purebred Simmental and Angus cows. Shortly thereafter, I went to Penn State in the fall of 2010 where I quickly became involved in the Penn State Horse Sale, the equine judging team, and as a worker at the horse barn. After 4 years at my second home in State College, I made the big jump to vet school at Iowa State. I have to say I’m glad to be back where there are trees to cut the wind. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my Corgi, Ruger as well as painting, reading, and crocheting (poorly).

Michaela Naugle DVM

Hi! My name is Michaela Naugle. I grew up in Selinsgrove, PA. My passion for veterinary medicine all started with my love of “Random Canyon Riding Program” a non-profit therapeutic horseback riding program located in Kratzerville PA. This program gives all individuals with any disabilities the ability to ride horses and form an incredible bond. I was involved in 4-H. I have my dream horse “Baye” who is now 28 years old.
I attended Susquehanna University where I received a bachelor’s degree in biology. I left the small town of Selinsgrove and moved to Philadelphia PA to attend Drexel University where I received my Masters in Laboratory Animal Medicine. Finally, I moved to Guelph, Canada where I received my Veterinary Degree from Ontario Veterinary College. I enjoyed living in Canada for four years, but it’s nice to be back home. In my spare time, I love basketball, reading, riding horses and spending time with my Goldendoodle “Maya”. I also have three adorable cats, who always keep me on my toes. I am super excited to bring to the practice western medicine and look forward to growing my acupuncture and chiropractic clients.

Rachael Elliott, BVetMed

Hi, I’m Rachael Elliott. I have spent most of my life residing in Snyder County, PA and still call it home. During high school I enjoyed playing sports and showing goats, horses and even rabbits through 4-H and FFA. I went on to continue my education at the University of Findlay in Findlay, Ohio where I received a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science/Pre-Vet and an associate’s degree in Western Equestrian Studies. When it came time to go to vet school, I didn’t think Ohio was far enough, so I ventured across the pond and received my BVetMed degree (DVM equivalent) from the Royal Veterinary College in London, England. I have gained a lot of different experiences in my time away from PA, but I am back in Central Pennsylvania and look forward to taking care of your equine and small ruminants while also being close to my family. In my free time I enjoy dabbling in photography and being outdoors doing various things like riding my horses (Ryder and Aspen), walking/hiking with my Corgi/Mini Australian Shepherd mix (Dandy), skiing and occasionally fishing.

Jake Weber

Hi! My name is Jacob (“Jake”) Weber. I grew up in the Southern Tier/Finger Lakes region of upstate NY just outside of Horseheads. I started raising rabbits and caring for my family’s annual group of feeder pigs when I was 11 years old. From there, I began showing Mini Lop rabbits in NY and across the country at various regional and national shows. I also showed Duroc and crossbred pigs at my local county fair through 4-H. I raised Boer meat goats for a few years as well. Growing up with livestock greatly influenced my decision to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Elmira College in Elmira, NY. I then ventured 45 minutes from home to Ithaca, NY where I received my veterinary degree from Cornell University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, focusing on production animal medicine. During vet school I spent most of my free time working in Cornell’s Equine and Nemo Farm Animal Hospital where I gained excellent nursing care experience with all large animal species. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, my fiancé Katie (who is also a veterinarian!) and her dog “Rachel”, hiking, kayaking, and reading.

Meet our Students

Tessa Roan

Lauren Gordner

Abby Morris

Abby is the owner of The  R.E.D Farm which is home to the Random Canyon Riding Program and is active with the Twilight Riders 4-H club. When she is not busy with her therapeutic riding program, barn chores and giving horseback riding lessons, EEFAC is thankful to have her help around the office. She is often the individual who gets in touch with you about scheduling or paperwork. We are very lucky to have Abby working behind the scenes to keep us all as organized as possible. She is a key player in the success of the practice.

Connie Hackenburg

Connie is an active part of Twilight Riders 4-H club, The R.E.D Farm and Random Canyon Riding Program while also maintaining her own farm full of animals which includes breeding and raising Golden Retrievers, Standard Poodles, Miniature Horses and the occasional Gypsy Vanner Cross. EEFAC is lucky to have her as a behind the scenes worker that helps the practice immensely as she often hosts our “in-patients” at her farm and gives them tender loving care while they are receiving treatment from our veterinarians.

Eric Wicks

Eric Wicks is another behind the scenes contributor for EEFAC. Eric spent the majority of his formative years growing up in Pittsburgh, PA. Coaching and football have long been his passions. He played college football at West Virginia University and had a short stint as an NFL player. Coaching college football brought Eric to Lewisburg. And we are glad he stayed! Eric is currently the Lewisburg Green Dragons Varsity Football coach. When he’s not coaching football or tying up loose ends for the business, Eric enjoys riding motorcycles, sometimes horses, playing basketball and flag football and hanging out with his family.

Tessa Roan

My name is Tessa Roan. Currently, I’m a Student Intern at Egleston Equine and Farm Animal Clinic.  I have been raised in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania since I was five years old, and I am the youngest among four siblings. My passion for horses began in the Nevada desert when, at the age of three, my aunt introduced me to her horse, Blackjack. This early love was nurtured through countless western riding lessons with Abby Morris, a pivotal figure in my equestrian journey. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of owning two horses, raising a beef cow, and caring for goats and chickens. These experiences solidified my ambition to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. Now, in my senior year at Susquehanna University, my dream feels within reach as I await responses from vet schools nationwide. I’m eternally grateful to many who have supported my journey, especially the wonderful team at EEFAC.

Lauren Gordner

Hello, My Name is Lauren Gordner. I have been with Egleston Equine and Farm Animal Clinic going on 2 years, as a student intern. I am a current junior at Delaware Valley University, majoring in Animal Science. I grew up right around the corner in the small town of Unityville, PA. My passion for animals grew with the ability to own a broad range of animals on my family’s farm. My current ‘herd’ consists of 2 horses, a mini donkey, a few handfuls of chickens, 2 potbelly pigs, a handful of peacocks, and a steer. I plan to continue my educational journey by applying to veterinary school this upcoming year. I am glad to be a part of the EEFAC family.
